DART Training Academy.

DART Training Academy offers a unique approach to simulation courseware by providing twelve pre-built training courses consisting of video instruction and customized drills designed to focus on specific real-world learning objectives.

Block 1 is divided into six 20-minute training modules designed to illustrate and teach specific real-world learning objectives. Every lesson consists of video instruction and courses of fire designed to be used with the DART system. Video demonstrations are provided to ensure consistency in training and communication. Students have the ability to practice any portion of the training module as often as they would like.

Block 2 delves deeper into the development of threat identification and reaction skills. These skills are enhanced through more demanding and challenging courses. The shooter will be required to identify specific elements using peripheral vision, in low light, and in changing environments. Block 2 courses have a terminal learning objective to decrease the shooter's time in identifying specific threats among many other distractions presented on screen. Additionally, the shooter will decrease the reaction time to the threat and engage with an optimal and proper reaction.

Included Courses

Pistol Drills

 
A set of 30 pistol marksmanship courses, each with multiple stages and objectives.

Reactive Range Pack

 
A set of eleven Roger’s Range courses, each with six stages, that can be used to evaluate and practice marksmanship skills in normal and low-light conditions.

Discretionary Courses

 
The new discretionary courses were developed to take advantage of the latest features in DART. The package contains seven unique courses and 59 stages featuring a wide array of shoot/no-shoot targets, including silhouette targets, photo targets, and 3D TruTargets. Because the courses take advantage of DART’s random behavior features, many of the courses will vary each time they are run, ensuring that students don’t anticipate target movement.

Traffic Stop Training

 
Traffic Stop Training 1 is a set of 17 video scenarios that present the officer with a range of situations that they may encounter on the job. Each course begins with a video introduction and ends with a recap to help the officer understand possible options and strategies that they might employ should they encounter the same situation in the real world.
