We’re excited to introduce DART™ 2.2—our most advanced training simulator yet. Designed for law enforcement, military, and security training, DART 2.2 delivers powerful new capabilities and enhancements that make training more realistic, immersive, and effective. 

Weather

DART 2.2 includes the most realistic weather system ever designed for a firearms simulator. Select from more than a dozen weather presets, or create your own. Not only does it look realistic, but it also realistically affects objects in the scene. Rain forms puddles on the ground, snow accumulates, and dirt builds up on targets during dust storms. It also plays an important part in our ballistics systems as well.

Enhanced Environments

Environments are the realistic 3D worlds in which courses take place. DART 2.2 introduces eight new environments including a neighborhood with multiple furnished houses, an industrial yard, hospital, and transportation terminal. In addition, environments now have settings that allow lighting to be controlled and doors and gates opened and closed.

Effects

DART 2.2 makes it easy to add fire, smoke, and explosions to any simulation, and DART’s simple interface make it easy to control color, intensity, and timing.

Military

For military customers, DART 2.2 adds support for crew-served weapons, customizable tracer fire, tactical targets that move and shoot, and new environments, including an ocean island, airbase, and long-distance outdoor range.

These are just some of the highlights of DART 2.2, which contains more than 40 enhancements designed to improve the training experience and make courseware development easier and more powerful.

  • Shot Impact Effects – realistic weapon impact effects based on material shot 

  • Refreshed UI – icons and tools have been refined to improve ease-of -use

  • Resume Action Behavior – cancels any Pause behavior currently running

  • Improved Physics – reactive targets, like the Texas Star, have more realistic motion

  • Live Video – live video objects used in LiveScenarios can be moved in real-time

  • Weather Behavior – use behaviors to change weather settings such as wind speed and direction

  • Weather Sounds – allow weather effect to auto-generate the sounds of rain, wind, and thunder

  • Time of Day Action – control the time of day and sun orientation with behaviors

  • Controllable Environments – adjust lighting, and open doors and gates in environments

  • Adjustable Laser Settings – allows the use laser weapons from other simulators

  • Enhanced Graphics – improved graphics offer a more realistic training experience. 

  • Ballistics – accurately calculate shot location based on muzzle velocity, height-over-bore, and weather
  • Tracer Fire – tracer rounds with adjustable color, timing, and velocity
  • Tactical Targets – new object type for independant attack vehicles
  • Camera Support – support for new shot-detection cameras
  • New Weapons – support for crew-served weapons
  • Improved Audio – sounds diminish over distance, shots fired indoors echo
  • Language Support – DART now supports multiple languages
