Partner products.

Give DART even more capabilities with these fully integrated hardware products from our partners. Control of these products is achieved through DART’s powerful behavior system. This means that virtually any event in the system can be used to trigger these devices. For example, trigger lights, sounds, and even a mild shock when a subject in the simulator “shoots” a trainee who is not fully behind cover. Or incapacitate a trainee’s arm if he is too close to an explosion – an unbeatable way to practice tourniquet application while under threat. The possibilities are endless.

Red Fire™

Red Fire includes a lightweight tactical vest that fits comfortably over a trainee’s outfit and a small band that wraps around the wrist. The vest uses multiple sensors to capture hits from simulated gunfire or explosions from the DART simulator, which are signified by flashing lights and sound. The stress band adds an extra layer of realism to your training by creating a stress/pain stimulus when the vest detects a “shot”. Multiple intensity modes range from a simple vibration to a mild or medium shock.

Red Fire can be used in ‘wide mode’ to detect room-wide “shots” that will activate sounds and lights on the vest unless the trainee is behind cover. Narrow mode can be used to provide feedback when the trainee does not move off the “X” after a specified time, training the student to move at least a full body position away from their previous location.

A.U.FIRE™

Accuracy Under Fire (A.U.FIRE) is a groundbreaking injury simulation tool designed for reality-based force-on-force and stress inoculation training. A.U.FIRE uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation (E-Stim), controlled by the DART simulator or an instructor, to instantly contract specific muscles on a trainee during scenarios, simulating an incapacitating injury to targeted limbs. This safe muscle contraction completely immobilizes the limb, rendering it unusable.

A.U.FIRE trains individuals to adapt quickly and accurately return fire while under the duress of simulated incapacitating injuries. This allows trainees to experience and adapt to worst-case scenarios in a safe, controlled environment. The training tool helps develop less emotional, more measured responses to stressful situations, building trainees’ resilience, confidence, and ability to assess de-escalation options.

A.U.FIRE is fully integrated with the DART simulator, which means that you automatically cause the unit to activate based on any number of user-defined events within the simulator.

gunSHOT BOX™

The gunSHOT Box is an electronic gunfire simulation system that can be controlled directly by the DART simulator to reproduce the sound of gunshots on demand. The effect uses a physics phenomenon achieved by charging up a series of capacitors and releasing a safe electrostatic discharge and “muzzle flash/bang”. Real explosions with safe levels of sound percussion (125 dB) with no cartridges, expendables, or speakers.

Traditional training with inadequate sound simulation fails to prepare responders for the auditory chaos of real gunfire. The gunSHOT BOX creates the hypervigilant state essential to making fast, instinctive decisions under pressure.
