LiveScenarios Showcased at SHOT Show
ORLANDO, FL – December 30, 2025 – Digimation, a leader in use of force and firearms training simulators for law enforcement and the military, will showcase LiveScenarios, a patent-pending technology that integrates live trainers and role-players inside a realistic 3D training environment, at the upcoming SHOT Show in Las Vegas. This and other new capabilities of the DART training platform will be showcased in the DART Range Booth #42641 at the Venetian Expo Level 1 from January 20th through January 24th.
“For decades, trainers have relied on video scenarios to teach de-escalation, but the truth is, they’ve never really worked,” said David Avgikos, President of Digimation. “Pre-recorded video can’t hear you. It can’t think or respond. So, they can’t prepare you for real-world conversations that can prevent use-of-force incidents.”
Unlike traditional simulators that rely on pre-recorded video clips, LiveScenarios interact with the trainee in real time. This breakthrough allows for open-ended, unscripted conversation—giving officers, security staff, and healthcare workers the opportunity to practice communication and de-escalation techniques in a dynamic, responsive environment.
“An important aspect of LiveScenarios is how customizable they are,” continued Avgikos. “Instead of generic situations that may or may not be relevant, training becomes laser-focused on the specific needs of a department.”

Military Solutions Showcased at I/ITSEC
ORLANDO, FL – November 20, 2025 – Digimation, a leader in use of force and firearms training simulators for law enforcement and the military, will debut several new additions to DART MAX – its flagship firearms training simulator at this year’s I/ITSEC conference. These new capabilities, some of which are mentioned here, will appeal to customers in the military sector and will be showcased in the DART Range Booth #361 from December 1st through December 4th.
CODA Initiative
CODA, which stands for Create Once Deploy Anywhere, encapsulates the company’s vision for the future of firearm simulation training. DART MAX is the only system of its kind to be built around courseware authoring. The CODA initiative will allow the same course to be deployed across multiple display types, including a single screen, multiple screens, a head-mounted display, or a live fire range.
“In the past, customers had to choose a single delivery type, which was unfortunate because each method has its own unique advantages,” said Digimation President David Avgikos. “As the DART MAX platform expands, it will allow customers to deploy the same course to the output device that best fits their training needs at that moment. This will bring the best of all training methods together and provide incredible consistency in training.”
Immersive Weather and Effects
A new weather engine simulates rain, snow, dust storms, and other conditions that not only look real but also affect objects in the scene. Trainees can now also incorporate fire, smoke, and explosions with adjustable intensity and timing, further expanding the range of training scenarios.
Integration of Scanned Data
Using a phone or drone, along with software such as Epic’s RealityScan or RealityCapture, customers can scan 3D interior or exterior locations and import them into DART MAX for a truly custom training experience.
“Conventional simulators use static 2D image backgrounds to recreate a location”, said Avgikos. “By importing scanned or hand-crafted 3D models, DART MAX allows customers to move through detailed replicas of specific locations and environments. The difference is amazing.”
Cluster Rendering
Using cluster rendering, DART MAX can use multiple machines to render a single visual across multiple displays. This technology is significantly more advanced and flexible than methods used by conventional multi-screen simulators. With this capability, DART MAX adds support for virtually any number of screens and in any configuration.
“One of the unique capabilities of DART MAX is that a course can be output to any number of screens or screen configurations, without modifying the course itself,” said Avgikos. “This is in line with our CODA initiative to create once and deploy anywhere.”

ORLANDO, FL – October 1, 2025 – Digimation today announced the release of DART™ 2.2, the latest upgrade to its industry-leading firearms training simulator. With new ballistic modeling, expanded environments, dynamic weather effects, and advanced features for law enforcement and military users, DART 2.2 redefines the standard for immersive and effective simulation training.
Raising the Bar in Realism
DART 2.2 introduces enhanced ballistic modeling that factors in gravity, muzzle velocity, height over bore, and weather, delivering unprecedented accuracy in point of impact. The system also adds eight new 3D training environments, including neighborhoods, hospitals, industrial yards, and transportation hubs, complete with dynamic lighting and interactive elements such as doors and gates.
