DART Trace

The Setup Menu

Before DART Trace can be used, it must be calibrated. This is done with the commands found in the Setup menu. The setup and calibration process for DART Trace is identical to the one in DART Range.

Calibration is a two-step process that aligns DART’s camera and the projected image. The first step is to position DART so that it captures the entire projected image. The second step defines the extent of the projected area and measures the maximum brightness of the projected image. More information can be found in the Calibration section of the DART Help Center.

Target Scale

The Target Scale options ensure that the target size is correctly calculated and displayed based on the size of the projected image and the distance of the shooter from the wall/screen.

Luminance Clamp

DART Trace uses a pixel’s brightness (luminance) to detect the laser. To function correctly, the brightness of the laser must be brighter than the brightest white pixels as shown by the projector. The Luminance Clamp option determines this value.
